I am a caring, trauma-informed clinician specializing in children, adolescents, and families. My approach is strengths-based and client-centered, creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to grow.
I have extensive experience working with children facing emotional and behavioral challenges, including anxiety disorders, trauma, grief, ADHD, and family transitions. I also have a strong background supporting individuals with disabilities, youth in the foster care system, and children navigating complex home dynamics.
In my sessions, I incorporate nontraditional and expressive modalities such as play therapy, art therapy, and music-based interventions. These creative approaches help children communicate their internal world, process emotions, and build skills in a developmentally appropriate way. I also often integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma-informed practices to support meaningful and lasting change.
Family collaboration is a core part of my work. I maintain a hands-on, transparent communication style so caregivers feel fully informed throughout treatment and supported in applying therapeutic strategies at home. My goal is to help families strengthen connection, understanding, and resilience together.
I earned my Master’s degree from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) – Jane Addams College of Social Work , with advanced training in child welfare, trauma, and therapeutic care.
I am passionate about helping children feel seen, capable, and confident, and I strive to make therapy an encouraging space where they can explore, heal, and thrive.
